Marine aluminum 5083 // Self-righting

LifePods W01

The W01 is a floating capsule designed to protect its occupants during extreme weather events when evacuation is no longer possible.

The W01 was developed to respond to risks associated with tsunamis, flash floods, marine submersions, and dike/dam failures. Its 5083 marine-grade aluminum structure, buoyancy system, integrated ballast, and interior equipment provide a temporary protective space for a family or small group of occupants. The capsule is designed to float, withstand debris impacts, and keep its occupants safe until rescue teams arrive.

Major Applications

Tsunamis & Submersion Waves

Designed to withstand intense shocks caused by the initial impact wave and heavy floating debris.

Severe Floods

Last-resort evacuation shelter when land escape routes are cut off and emergency services are overwhelmed.

Marine Submersion

Securing coastal homes and harbor installations exposed to severe storms and major storm surges.

Dam Failures

Instant protection for populations situated in flow zones downstream of hydroelectric dams.
